What we collect
- Player name you type in (up to 24 characters). It is shown to other players in duels and recaps, so don't use your real full name if you'd rather not.
- An anonymous player id, generated randomly when you start. It is not linked to your email, phone, device id or advertising id.
- Game moves and results — your evening duels, challenge games and the matches your twin plays overnight.
- Basic game events recorded on our own server (for example: a duel was played, a recap was opened, your answer to an in-game question, which challenge link brought you in, and whether you came from our site or a game portal). These are tied to the anonymous id only and are used to keep the game working and improve it.
Your name and id are also saved in your browser/app storage (localStorage) so you stay signed in as the same player.
What we don't do
- No ads, no advertising ids.
- No third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
- No selling or sharing of data with third parties.
- No account, email, phone number, location, contacts or photos are requested.
Where it is stored
Data is stored on Cloudflare (Workers and D1 database), our hosting provider, and sent over HTTPS. Like any web server, Cloudflare may process IP addresses transiently to deliver and protect the service; we do not store them in the game database.
Retention and deletion
Game data is kept while the game runs. To delete your player data, email privacy@9gape.com with your player name (and the id shown in your share link, if you have it) and we'll remove it within 30 days. Clearing the app's storage removes the local copy.
Children
Sleepwalker is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We'll update this page if anything changes.
